Refund Policy - Kahikolu Glassworks

At Kahikolu Glassworks, we take pride in delivering high-quality glass services with integrity and transparency. We understand that from time to time, questions may arise about cancellations, returns, or refunds. Below, you’ll find our complete refund policy for auto glass services, special orders, and in-stock items.

General Refund Policy

Kahikolu Glassworks does not offer refunds on completed services or installed parts. Once a windshield, side window, or custom-cut glass has been installed, it is considered a completed service and is not eligible for return or refund.

We stand behind our workmanship, and if there is ever an issue with the quality of an installation or product, we invite you to contact us directly. We will assess the concern and offer a solution in line with our workmanship guarantee.

Special Order Items

Due to the nature of our business and the logistics of operating on Maui, many auto glass parts must be special ordered. Special order items are:

  • Any glass that is not currently in our local stock

  • Glass ordered specifically for your vehicle make, model, or year

  • Custom-cut or fabricated glass for boats, heavy equipment, or specialty vehicles

We do not offer refunds for special order items, as these are non-returnable to our suppliers and ordered specifically to fulfill your service request.

In-Stock Items (Not Yet Installed)

If you purchase an in-stock part (e.g. a windshield or side window) and choose to cancel your appointment before the item is installed, we may offer a refund under the following conditions:

  • The item has not been installed or used

  • You notify us within 7 calendar days of purchase

  • The item is returned in its original condition

  • A valid proof of purchase is provided

Approved refunds will be issued to the original form of payment. Please allow 5–7 business days for the transaction to reflect on your account.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule a service appointment, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. We understand emergencies happen, and we’ll always do our best to work with you.

For cancellations involving special order parts, a restocking fee may apply if the part has already been shipped or reserved.

Workmanship Guarantee

While refunds may not apply to installed products, we do guarantee the quality of our work. If you believe something was not installed properly or notice an issue with your glass, seal, or calibration, please reach out. We’ll inspect the work and offer a resolution based on our quality standards.
